The Media Center at Wright Elementary School provides a safe place where (1) all students are valued, (2) all students are respected, and (3) all students can learn.
Meet Mrs. Moody
I am the librarian here at Wright Elementary School. Previously, I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. This is my 12th year teaching, and I have been at Wright for 9 of those years. As a child, I would gather my books in a play shopping cart and move them all to the front porch where I set up my library. I was genuinely disappointed when nobody from the neighborhood came to check out my books! Although checking out books is not the only requirement of a librarian, my love of books is what fueled my desire to transition into this space. I graduated from Anderson University in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I then received my Gifted and Talented Endorsement and Masters of Education from Southern Wesleyan University in 2008. I received my Masters of LIbrary and Information Science from The University of South Carolina in 2016. I live in Honea Path with my husband, Josh, and our sons: Jake and Graham. I enjoy participating in the music program at Honea Path First Baptist Church, spending time with my family, going to the beach, and READING! My hope is that each child of Wright Elementary School will leave the library knowing and experiencing more than when they first entered.
